Information on Disposal

The Battery Ordinance (BattV) regulates the disposal and recycling of batteries and accumulators in Germany. It aims to prevent batteries and accumulators from entering the environment and releasing harmful substances. Therefore, it is important for us as a provider to provide you with the relevant information.

Return of Used Batteries

Used batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in regular household waste. You are legally required to return used batteries to a designated collection point:

  • At public collection points in your community
  • In many stores that sell products with batteries and accumulators
  • Directly at PremiumBags – send your used batteries to:

Battery Labeling

Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. The following chemical symbols also indicate this:

  • Cd – contains cadmium
  • Hg – contains mercury
  • Pb – contains lead
